A question of time...

Good morning everyone,
Rhiannon Neeley here and as you can see, I'm a bit late. So let's talk about time.

I'm a person that is usually never late for anything (but today I was late for posting...so sorry).

There is never enough time in the day for me. I can never get enough done. Especially this time of year. Everyone seems to be rushing, running. I don't like it much. I enjoy days where I can just mosey through, not worrying about what time it is. Those days are few and far between.

And speaking of time, I have a Grand Aunt who will be 100 years old on January 14, 2006. Her children are planning her party, inviting everyone. I just got an email from her daughter-in-law yesterday for more addresses to send invitations to. Time. I'll bet my Grand Aunt knows a lot about time.

So, tell me, are you a running-up-until-the-last-minute type of person? Or a who-cares-what-time-it-is person?

Today, for a prize, I will offer the winners choice of any one of my Liquid Silver Books titles. The winner will be draw at random from today's posters at 9PM EST and I'll post here.

Thanks for waiting on me this morning,
Rhiannon

congrats to your aunt reaching 100 yrs old. That is a fantastic accomplishment. And I am usually a late runner myself. What with two kids that is what happens. Sorry I haven't read any of your books yet. LOL. But am off to check them out now.

Hey there, Rhi!!

My dad's birthday was January 14. Congrats to your Grand-Aunt and early happy birthday to her!! I hope you've talked to her lots and have all the family history noted and organized. To often we let the treasure trove of information our relatives have slip away.

You know I've read all the Ravens, and asking me which is my favorite is not fair!! I refuse to be drawn into a clan squabble, especially when they're all so hunky and special in their own right.

As for your being a little late to post--sheesh! I wouldn't worry about it--you're worth waiting for!

Have a great blog day--

Dee

Hi Rhiannon, happy early birthday to your Grand Aunt. I guess I'm closer to who cares what time it is person. I like to stop and smell the roses.

100 years old. That's wonderful...:) Just imagine the things she's seen and the stories she could tell.

I never have enough time either, and I'm a time watcher. I hate to be late and I'm constantly on everyone to hurry up so we can go...:) Drives them all crazy...LOL.

Congratulations on your Aunt's birthday. I hope someone in your family has recorded her stories about your family.

As for time, I like having things done early, but with two teenagers I always seem to be running late.

I used to be the sort who would rather not go at all if I had to be late. I married a man who subscribed to the better late than never and the later the better philosophy. I had to give up on my anal leanings or him. I chose to chill and keep the hubby. He's worth it in so many other ways. Sometimes its really wonderful that he doesn't get in a hurry. I've read COLIN THE CONQUERER and am drooling over the first six books. I could tell that I would love them all from their brief appearances in the last book.

I got the feeling from reading COLIN THE CONQUEROR that the Raven brothers and cousins were getting tired. They'd found their spouses and just wanted to live peaceful lives.
What did it mean that at the end they found out the original Raven sister WANTED to become a vampire. Was it like the whole thing had been centuries of revenge for nothing?

I am sorry Rhiannon. Probably I shouldn't ask you to discuss that when some here may not have read the books yet. The book I read was great and I can't wait to read the rest of them. I've studied all the blurbs. I do that when I put together my Christmas Wish List. I don't want to spoil anything important for everyone.

Yes that helps. So also does remembering that the vamp who said she loved him and wanted to be turned was one of those controlling, abusive types. Ms. Raven might have expressed her feelings very differently if she'd had the chance.

Love the blurbs. And Sindulgence sounds great!

SINDULGENCE does look terrific. That's a new concept to worry about whether your children will like your boyfriend.
YELLOW MOUNTAIN looks really good, too. How trajic. And based on a true story, too. I don't know how I'd react in that situation. None of us could know unless it happened to us, I suppose.

I work full time--but only 210 days per year. I have 2 weeks off in December, 1 week in Feb., 1 week in Apr and the entire month of July off. Several other days scattered throughout the year off, too. It's the benefit of working for a school district. However, I barely have time to think sometimes--and I use my weeks away from the school to catch up on stuff. I don't wish for "more time" as it would be human nature to get that filled up with stuff that has nothing to do with writing. And that's all I want to do.

100 Years old, hummmmm ... She should be able to tell you great storys. Some of the things she would have had to do in her time would overwelm us now. Just getting to town for church must have taken a long time lol .
I am usually leaving myself more then enough time to get to places except for get togethers with my family ...then i'am always late. Happy Birthday to your aunt and may she have many more stories to tell before she's gone.

I noticed that you have a new horror genre book coming out soon. It is written by Chris Neely. I've noticed in the past that Christine sometimes responds to your emails. Are you Christine, also? Is there a bit of a split personality thingy going on?
Isn't horror a new thing for you too?

I am so an ontime person unless I don't know where I'm going. I'll leave early but inevitably get lost *sigh*

Merry Birthday to your great Aunt. What a feat!

I am more the type of run-run-run. I work, homeschool my 13 year old twins, write, am finishing up my Master's degree, and slip in some reading (usually for Reviews) and web surfing time when I can find it. Man I would SO like to not work, LOL
